The perfect start for the Guernsey Raiders Ladies continues as they break Dorking's undefeated streak.

The ladies took on Dorking on the Club pitch on Saturday, coming away with a 33-31 win.

It followed the squad's 0-66 win away to Worthing Warriors the week before.

The squad remained almost unchanged, except for Jillian Smith who was unfortunately unavailable due to injury. Macey Rushent stepped into the Second Row, with Zoe Collins moving up to play in the Front Row as Hooker.

In the second half, we saw Chelsie Blondel, Daisy Travers and Janelly Casas Zarate bringing experience to the game as they came off the bench.

We also saw Lauren Ogier and Charlie Le Noury looking to make an impact.

Dorking's 93-0 and 61-10 wins had put them high up on the table, but Steve Evans side were able to hold them out.

'We knew it was going to be a tough game going into it, Dorking had some strong results in their first few games of the season, but the ladies were focused on the job that needed doing'.

'I think anyone watching would say it was a very exciting game, Dorking were leading in the first half, but we were able to bring it back in the second.'

Three tries from Aideen Le Prevost gave Guernsey the start they needed, followed with tries from Daisy Travers and Zoe Collins. Dorking were able to score 5 tries against the Guernsey side.

Liv Kenneally was able to covert 4 of those tries, with Dorking only being able to convert 3.

The ladies didn't give up Evans added, 'they showed real team spirit and resillience, I was very proud of the performance, it was a good win against a tough team.'

The ladies have a break now, before they face Seaford Scarletts on the 24th November. Guernsey sit 3rd in the table with Seaford at the top.
